Fork mounted wind deflectors ???
I have an '05 Road King Classic. Wondering your thoughts on the effectiveness of the fork mounted chrome wind deflectors. Heading out on a long trip in a month and was wondering if they make much of a difference? Pro's and con's?

I put a set on my Road King last winter, didn't like the way the bike handled on a two lane road with on-coming trucks. Took them off as soon as it warmed up around here.
I'll probably put them back on once the temp gets down to the freezing mark. So I hate them and I like them[8D]

I bought a set of them for a long trip and loved them. It cut down on wind noise as well. The seat did get hotter with it on.
I give them two thumbs up[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]

The wind baffle is what stops the helmet buffering

I use a full face (flipup style) and the helmet buffeting is exactly why I decided to try these. Before, no matter what I did to the windshield, buffetting was really bad from 55 mph on up and at 70 mph was intolerable. Same setup but with the deflectors buffeting is no longer a problem. The ride is comfortable all the way up to 80 mph, did not try at any higher speed.
Without the windshield on I'm not heavy enough to stay on the bike past 70mph - the wind just pushes me right off the police solo seat.
