Oh, I love this. Here is my idea. I have a Street Glide with a detachable tour pack. I got a hidden antenna in my fairing and it works great. The problem is the antenna on the tour pack - it is now worthless. However, if you remove it, there are 2 holes on the back of the tourpack. I would love a FLAG BRACKET that you could fill the holes with. There may be other things you could use the holes for also - but the main issue would be a stylish cover for the holes. I just thought I would love a Flag bracket. It would of course have to be chrome ;-)
I would like to be able to move the footboards (2007 Ultra) back about
1" or maybe 2". As it is now, I had to remove the rear shift lever so my
left foot can hang off the back of the footboard more (more comfortable for me (short legs) to have my feet under me more like the original mid-mount footboards on earlier FLs.
A plain cover for the quick release bracket when the tourpack is not on. I envision a nicely sculpted piece of aluminium cnc'd on the back side to click onto the quick release. Could be chromed or black. If I only had the ability to make them I am sure they would sell.
These may already be available but I've not seen them but some highway pegs that mount to the floorboards would be nice. I had some on my old honda they looked better than the crash guard mounted ones and are great for us short legged folks. BTW I have your floorboard extensions and LOVE them.
When travelling I got tired of not having a place to put the helmets. I bought a 5.5 inch by 4 inch piece of aluminum and machined out a groove to match the tour pak mounting bar. Bought 2 helmet locks and mounted them on the bottom side of the aluminum (support bar that the tour pak sits on). took out the 2 rear screws in the bottom of the tour back - replaced with longer screws and mounted the aluminum block to the bottom of the tour pak. Now I have a place to lock up helmets and it looks like it belongs there. If something like this was available commercially - I would have purchased one immediately.
Not actually a bike part but still for the bagger. A Saddlebag Tree or Stand to mount your bags to when you take them off to wash the bike. You can wash the bags without worrying about dropping them and you can get your bike cleaner with them off. It could be mounted on wheels with brackets with the same bolt pattern as the side rails on a bagger. It should be 4 or 5 ft tall with a wide enough base to keep it stable.
Terry1995,
Check out our saddlebag holders along with our portable stand. Makes washing bags very easy.
Come up with something similar to the SG's rear fender facia w/running/brake lights, that's a direct replacement for the stock RK/RKC fender tip and has bag fillers for a decent price, and I'm a buyer!
