Hi. last year i bought a replacement K&N filter for the stock one $75 bucks! when i put it in my bike it ran really hot so i took it out and put it on the shelf. So i just bought a pcv from fuel moto pre programed for my pipes and high flow filter, so instead of buying a new backplate and hardware and round filter i cut out the back of the stock one and used the K&N filter ,
What do you guy`s think ? will it work? should i take more out of the back?
Before i put in the pcv a went for a quick ride with the K&N filter the bike got hotter .then i put the tuner in and went for a ride still with the stock backplate and the K&N filter and the bike had alot of decel popping and the throttle transition was terrible, so i pulled over and took the a/c cover off and it ran great. So when i got home i cut out the backplate put it back on and went for another ride and bingo it ran great ,but i had only a pop or two when i went off the gas it only did it 2 or 3 times when i rode it with the a/c cover off it didn't stumble at all . Anybody think i should put 1 more hole in the backplate or am i waisting my time? the bike is a 07 electraglide Thank`s Bill
