Ditto, mine gets cleaned about 5 times a week. 2yrs old still looks new. I use wax and detailer often.
warm wet towel works wonders on the bugs, and keeps them from scratching as you remove them
+1 ON THE WARM TOWEL
This softens them lil bastids up facilitates removal.
When cleaning the fairing, I don't use words like "rub." I will always remove bugs and their remains using other means. "Rubbing" is the worse thing one can do to fiberglass, or other painted surfaces....clear coated or not.
I will either soak them off with a towel, or spray with a bug remover like has already been said. The most important step is to apply another coat of wax after any chemical cleaning and/or after several soaks.
I've used the peroxide for years and years. No negative affects. All good, and very cheap. I used to mix it, but just use it full strength now. And then keep a good coat of wax on it.
I keep a couple of wet microfiber rags in a zip lock bag in my saddlebag and wipe the fairing down everyplace I stop. It keeps them from drying on and you don't have as much to deal with as you would if you wait till you are back home after your ride.
