I use my cruise control all the time. It saves from the fatigue of holding the throttle all the time and I can also keep my hands warm one at a time in the winter. If you can, add it to it and enjoy the new found freedom.

Ride On!

Can it be put on any Harley (like my Super Glide) or only on the touring models?

Check with your dealer as to model - although my bike is relatively new, I definitely recommend it - you can set it and relax that throttle arm and just leave the other hand very lightly on the left grip - I love the cruise.

I use it every day. Wouldn't THINK of buying a bike without it.

I love mine and use it alot. BUT! save your money and get a Throttle Rocker or Throttle Boss 1st and see if you really need a cruise control. I use it much more then the cruise control. Try rolling the throttle and releasing the front break on a hill with it and you'll know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, on a long trip nothing beats the CC. But how many long trips do you do? I put a lot of miles on back roads. I don't suggest using the CC on twisties.
One thing I've noticed is when I ride with a few Wingers and it seems their CC doesn't hold the speed as steady as the Harley's. I'm constantly adjusting speed if I'm following one. I switch to the Throttle Boss.

I really love my cruise as well. You can make speed up and slow down adjustments as needed with the cruise control on as well, just like a car. It will turn off with a front or rear brake touch or throttle roll off. It's one thing Harley put a lot of thought and attention to when they designed it. Worth the money IMHO.

It's a must (IMO) on any touring bike, although I find myself using mine everyday to and from work. I have about 7 miles (one way) of highway to drive and I find it also saves me speeding tickets and a numb right hand. Well worth the investment.[8D]
