I got it on, most of the way. In the instructions you get to a point where you need to bike upright. Do you really need it upright or can you do it on the kickstand?

I had my wife hold the scoot's handlebars while I blocked it upright with some boards under the frame. The bike's weight was on it's tires but it was full vertical. I'm not sure if it really made a difference. The one thing that I would recommend is, take your time adjusting the link length. When it's right, the bolt starts in the threads with just your fingers. If it's difficult to start and you try to force it with a wrench, you may not be exactly aligned. The bolt is steel, the stay is aluminum. Be careful.

After this, take your tools and throw them in the trash!

You'll love it regardless of the naysayers/pundits. It'll transform the handling (or lack thereof) of your bike.

I will be installed tomorrow morning. I hope to do a little riding with it tomorrow, but there is rain in the forecast too. I just had Dunlop E3's put on front and rear last week too.

First I have to mention that Bitchin Bagger received my money on Tuesday morning and the brace was sitting at my house by Friday ready for install. Install for me was a little over 1 hour but very easy and straight forward. Directions that came with the unit are the same ones on their web site. The hardest thing I found was lining up the right side dog bone with the right stay.

Well I had my first ride with the black bagger brace. The first thing I noticed was there was a little extra vibrations in the bars when I started up the bike. Not that bad and who cares you don't ride it in neutral. Was there any vibrations out on the road ? Guys the bike is rubber mounted for a reason. All I can say after being out on the road is wow. Does this brace make the bike a sport tourer no but who cares. If I wanted a sport tourer I would have stayed with my BMW. Can you now stay closer to the sport touring crowd. My answer is absolutly. It's hard to explain but the a$$ end of the bike feels connected to the front of the bike. The only thing I have left to do is find a decent set of rear shocks. I might look into a set of Olins when I have more cash.

John, was there an increase in vibration anywhere on the bike at highway speeds after the addition vice before? Anything at all that you DON'T like about the addition of the brace that you could share?

I am not ready to get into what I think of how it worked out, but I can agree with what is above.

1 tip that no one said here is I had to pry the cross member down a little bit for the brace to clear to get it up and over the cross memeber. My cross member was perfectly straight.

Full report after a little bit more riding, tried to get 100 miles in, but rain into rain.
