water cooled say it aint so! it wont be a harley then IMO...............
I agree with you there! And I also find it funny how Harley has sold all these VRods over the years and you hardly ever see any of them. Our local biker bar has a huge parking lot and a big turnout every sunny Saturday and Sunday and you would be hard pressed to find a VRod in the crowd.
I'm no fan of the Liquid cooled motor or the VRod and would have nothing to do with either of them ever.
The touring V-rod may attract some buyers that MOCO hasn't reeled in yet...It's another twist to the evolution of HD..Air cooled is the bread and butter so i don't foresee a lot of changes to that. Gotta get some of the Jap bike riders thought....V-rod motor simply rips the pavement... i love the power of it...comfort was not there but the freaking HP....
They just need to change the stance of the bike and it could handle better...I am just keeping an open mind as to what they will come up with next. They are eventually going to try something off beat....I personnally liked the way it rode and would consider owning one...
The first review I read of the VRod stated it wasn't meant to just be a cruiser they wanted it to catch on as a tourer because of the watercooled engine. I think with some refining it is very possible the v-tour will be available real soon.
I was at Amsterdam Harley Davidson in May 08. You live anywhere near there? Ever been to the dealership there?
I know there have been many threads with speculation about whether Harley is going to or not come out with a water cooled engine. Many baggers are mixed whether they would ride/buy water cooled or not. Would you buy a Harley with a water cooled engine?
