Well I'd say you know the difference, and you are correct.
I ride a RK Custom, I helped my brother get a SG which stayed here at my place for a week.
I was really impressed with the way it handeld, but it also had the SE fork oil from day 1,
needless to say mine got SE fork oil shortly after.
I'd say the RG would be the better bike for the long road, but how do you leave a SG sittin at the dealer...
It's hard to have it all but you'll be close with either one!

Sounds like your down to the RG look/frame mounted fairing with a more full suspension...or the the SG with the batwing look/fork mount and lowered suspension... go luck...
actually, now i'm thinking it's between a SG and an Ultra, and the Ultra seems to be the better buy, once you add a tourpack and cruise, not to mention the other goodies.
i keep going back and forth between the RG the Ultra and the SG - honestly I have no idea what the heck i'm gonna end up buying, but it sure is fun trying to figure it out!
