Thanks for the input guys, I guess I will be keeping my eyes out. And maybe take an 08 for an EXTENDED test ride. See if I get that "Wobble" I rode an 07 for a whole day out in Tuscon and never experienced anything like that, NOT denying there is one, too many have experienced it I know.
Maybe wait until the 10s are out, maybe try to buy a "Rental" 09 from a dealer.
the o9's are supposed to handle great compared to the 08 and earlier. but i can't see trading in each time harley wants to sell us mice a new slice of cheese. i'll stick with what i got, cause my 08 streetglide is paid for, but honestly, i'd rather have an 09. but who knows what they're gonna dangle in front of our noses in 2010? or 2011, and beyond. can't be too far from coming up with a water cooled bigger version of the v rod motor for the tourings, i'm kinda thinking. any thoughts?
I have an '08 and love it, but I would get the '09 primarily for the new frame. I experienced the wobble somewhat before I installed a stabilizer and I am concerned about the long-term effect on the frame and engine with that bandaid in place. You can't put a price on peace-of-mind.
I respect all opinions, but I see a crazy selling and buying a 08 Touring Turing 09.
The 2 have ABS
2 have the largest deposit.
The cruise is 2.
2 have the electronic throttle
The 08 has improvements in the chassis to prevent vibrations.
The 09 weighs more. Average weight person.
09 The more I see the Japanese. It is bad and high settings I do not like leaks.
Sorry for NOT WRITE IN ENGLISH WELL. And forgiveness because I do not want to disturb anyone.

Right on. Two thing will occur in the near future concerning Harley Davidson. They will move away from air cooled engines with the adoption of a water jacketed version of the V-Rod engine which has been successfully running now for 10 years. The EPA is mandating lower emission standards. You either comply or get out of business.
The second change will come in the form of leaving the higher cost infrastructures of the past. This means you pickup your marbles and take your production to a lower cost region. Everyone knows what that means and it likely does not entail moving a factory from Wisconsin to somewhere else in the continental U.S. If you are building a new factory you follow the trend and the trend is to offshore production in order to cut costs drastically. The MOCO has recently reported a drop in sales of 37% for the most recent quarter. They are being driven by change in order to maintain market share. Their competitors utilize offshore production so Harley will have to do the same in order to stay competitive. Old time riders will always say "I ain't riding anything unless it is Made In America". That too has changed. Harleys have had imported parts on them for years. The bikes have been assembled in Kansas City and York but the parts came from global sourcing.
Change is inevitable. Harley has always been slow in adopting change but things are changing. New leadership means new ideas. New ideas mean new opportunities. In order to survive in a global economy, change is inevitable.
I am not sure if the unions have gotten that memo yet. I think they will get the "message" even though they will not discover the lost memo. For their membership it will be too late. None of us has to be a visionary, we only have to see what has happened with the manufacturing trend in the United States over the last 15-20 years.
Saved 5K going with a new left over 08 after 09's came out.. Close to 10,000 miles now with no problems.. Used the 5K extra to make it like wanted it... But heard nothing but good about 09 Tourers but can't change the decision made 6 months ago... Has to be your final call...
