Seriously, get some prescription goggles. Walmart Vision Center sells a nice pair - I just got a pair and am very happy with them. They also offer a 2 year breakage/scratch warranty if something happens to them. They have a seal around the eye that ventilates yet won't have you catching excessive wind in the eye or bugs/dirt/debris.
Many here ride with no windshield at all and these goggles are up to the task for that, so your 6" windshield will be fine if you have the right goggles.
I have the stock windshield on my SG and i love it. Gives me the right amount of wind in my face.
What did all you guys do before you had a windshield wear a fullface helmet??
I wear rec spec sunglasses and when a big beetle or something hits me and stings
like a bb gun hitting me in the face or neck I say. "Thank you sir may I have another" !!

Around town is ok, but on the highway, cant stand the debris in my eyes.
Have RX sunglasses, so getting more with the inserts arent an option.

The air coming off the stock SG windshield is not clean air like you get from bikes without windshields. I just came from a Road King and the SG turbulent air is very different bewteen the two bikes.
