On a '03 Electraglide Classic (carb) the speedo has gone out. No movement of the needle, no numbers displayed in the odometer. Background light out as well. Doesn;t seem like a sensor fail (I've seen them before and the odo just doesn;t advance). There is only one fuse for the instruments (that I know of) and it is good, as well as the rest of the instruments working. I'm hoping someone has had the exact same problem and will enlighten me before I pull the fairing front off and start poking around.. Thanks!
P.S. also lost the turnsignals. Not just the auto cancel which is tied to the speedo, but they don't even work manually.
Problem fixed. Pays to check the manual when the label on the fuses is worn off. The speedo runs on the horn/turn signal circuit, not the instrument circuit (I suppose that made sense to somebody). I like a $.10 fuse fix as opposed to a $65 dollar speedo sensor or a $114 turn signal module fix however.
