Have any of you guys had a problem with your speedo? Once in a while mine will start to creep up, When I slow down it will stay at the highest reading. It will stay there after I shut the bike down. After about 5 min. it will reset to zero on its own.
you might check the sensor located in the tranny, right side top. it can pick up metal fuzzies and cause erratic reads. Also has effect on turn signal canceling.

I agree, that's the first place to check. Quite common.
Had same problem with wifes Dyna, it was the speedometer itself. I cleaned the sensor, then replaced it, nothing worked. It was on an extended warranty. took it to dealer and got a new speedo, would have been over$300. Warranty charge $50.
