I'm one of those that bought a FastAire first to figure out what height I needed. I'm 5'-10" and when/if I go with a Clearview, it will be a 10.5". I have a 10" FastAire and another 1/2" wouldn't be a bad thing. There are instructions on the Clearview site that should help you pick the right height.

There are Torx drivers in the tool kit that comes with the bike.

I have to clearview shields. 1 9.5" for the colder months and a 4.5" for the hot summer months. The 9.5 shields me and also pushed the wind over me. The 4.5" still doesnt allow buffeting but still allows air to hit me a keep me cool. Its a cheap investment for the comfort you receive.

Took a bit to get used to looking through it, but the protection in the cold is well worth it. Safe riding.

I have a 09 streetglide with a stock roadglide seat. I am about 6'2" and currently have a 9.5" clearview with a recurve light tint. The guys at clearview made me both a 9.5" and a 10.5" recurve light tint shield and as long as I left the original plastic on the shields he said he would take back the one I did not want and it would only cost me shipping back to them. I tried both shields and the 10.5" was not bad but a little in my view and I wanted to look over it and the 9.5" worked well. The dark tint is very dark and maybe too dark if it is that high, I think a 8" dark tint would be all I might recommend its JMHO. Great customer service from clearview and great product. Good luck

you should have bought a street glide instead. that way you'd be forced to buy another shield. i use a nine inch, which is not as tall as the ultra shield, and it works out great for me, i look over it by about two inches and am not looking through it. a big mistake you'll notice when you get stuck in rain.
