K&P Engineering filter on my 01 Ultra. Today, 2-up, 75 to 80 mph, air temp mid 80's my oil temp gauge with pan mounted sensor never got higher than 200 degree's. Before would run 230 and above.
Oh, you don't sell the oil cooler itself, just the fan for it--thanks for the clarification.
Again I apologise, I didnt realize that if you sell a product you are not allowed to voice a opinion. If you read my first post there was no mention of the product I sell. Nor did I say he needs to buy a oil cooler, only that if his temp gets above 230F that he consider it.

Good point either way, fans are cheaper than a new oil cooler. My 2011 Cross Bones runs around 160 and in traffic I see 200, so the fans work great.
Good points. It make sense to take into consideration where the temp sensor is located. I have Ward cooling fans and JES oil temp dipstick. On hot days, the dipstick gauge still measures to 250+. And the fans was cycling on and off constantly.
The oil temp gauge sensor is located in a different point, will the temp be different than the dipstick sensor?

Negligible temperature difference between the dipstick and pan mounted sensor location, 1-2 degrees maybe, they are only a couple inches apart in the baffled, serpentine path of flow. Something not right if those fans are cycling during operation; they should come on after warm up and stay on till you shut down, with several cycles. send me a PM or email and I'll get it sorted out. I'm on the road right now but I will get back to you.
My friend has a "103"and I have a "110".
Both have oil coolers, both have had the cats removed, have true duals, and have been tuned, and we both run SYN3 in the engines.
After running the freeway in 80+ degree weather, by the time we get to the service station gas pumps we're usually running between 230-240 on our dipstick thermometers.
We're both installing Jason's Fans this season and hope that we will see some drop in our oil temps.
