UC Performance Advice
I agree with the others. You get to look at an Ultra instead of one of the fugliest bikes ever made. I know I didn't get my bike to beat everyone out there. The Ultra is very comfortable and puts a smile on your face when you ride.
Dude, first off let me just say that is about as stunning looking a Hog as I have ever seen! If I had the money that is just the color combo I would choose
Look at ya, here you have an Ultra Classic, AN ULTRA CLASSIC!!! You are sitting on top of the HD foodchain dude, it just doesn't get any better than what you have! You might need to slap yourself in the face a couple of times to wake up from the mopes you've momentarily slid into. No big deal, these moments happen in life, just snap out of it.
So smirk sporting ahole acquaintance of yours thinks he's cool cause he's riding a machine with the pizazz of a farking blender! Screw that smoe! Or, who gives a shiznit what Smedlap there thinks. I guarantee you he's hiding some severe jealousy over what you're riding! Hell, his wife probably made him choose that bike over the Hog he wanted cause she bosses his little weiner around at the house too!
Your UC is never gonna win the races against the other bikes of this world. Hells bells, even John Q. Littlepecker there on his blender would get blown away by a BMW. Nice as they are but those two touring bikes are just like a kitchen appliance when it comes to character.
Don't get me wrong, I wish my UC had the ability to be the fastest bike on the planet; I've ridden many fast bikes and they are fun to be sure. But you got the UC for what it is and what it has.
I think you did waste some money getting the Xied thing when you also got TD's. TD's alone eliminate the heating problem.
I did the Stage II 103" w/255 cams and I still wish it had 100 more horsepower and 500lbs more of torque. But you know what, the more I ride it the more I'm pleased with it. I've got a smooth riding machine w/cruise, stereo, CB, ABS, and it looks as cool as cool gets.
For the most power out of the engine I'd go with a 2 into 1 though. Get a nice quiet one and remember to appreciate what you got. And I know how having bikes goes, I wish I had a couple of other bikes. But I'm very tickled to have this one!
Best of luck and keep us informed. And don't ride with John Q. Smugface Littlepecker anymore cause he sounds like a dick.
