I have an ipod already hooked up to the aux input on my ultra. i just ordered sirius and trying to figure out how to connect it without having to change plugs. is there an auxillary input on the back of the hk radios? Any suggestions?
I have a portable Sirius unit and an FM transmitter in my car. Working great for 3+ years now. Planning on putting my spare antenna and power cord on the scooter, and moving the Sirius unit back and forth. Just use an aux plug between the Sirius and the scooter radio.
I got my hooked up and it works great. Mines an 09 and has a cig lighter. I plug in there for power. The radio mount that comes with it has a sticky back and I placed it right where the clutch lever is pinned, there was a flat surface there. I tried the "dash" right behind the windshield, but there was too much vibration. My radio has an auxillary port on the face and I just plugged in there from the mount, so no needing to try and match radio stations.
Very easy on the 09, not sure what year you have. Mine also has an aux. port in front of the battery that another cig lighter can be hooked to I think. Not sure if you have all those options or not. Love the satellite radio though!!
I had the headlight out when I was running cables and could see the back and I don't remember seeing another port. You can only listen to one at a time
Have to plug and unplug.
Amizon.com sells a head phone splitter for $4.99 hat you could plug both units into and plug that into radio only thing you would have ot make sure ipod or satelite is off while playing the other.
I have all of that.....the only problem is i'm using the auxilary port for my ipod....i don;t kow if there's another one on the back of the radio
I bought a 2 into one plug for the aux. plug at Radio Shack. Had my Sirius and Zumo both plugged in before I paired the GPS up to a SKALA Q2 headset. Could only use one at a time but didn't have to stop and swap out the cables. The FM mod. worked fairly well but not near as crisp as the aux. plug. Only one aux.plug on the HK unit.
