A friend told me that it's possible to adjust the for/aft position of the handlebars on an Ultra. I looked through the Owner's Manual but didn't see anything. Does anyone know if this is true, and how difficult it is?
Can be done but......Its not worth the headache of taking the fairing cap off for a minimal adjustment esp. if your trying to push them forward, its only got about an "1.5 before it hits the fairing!
Wait till u get some new bars and braided cables, but if u must, get the service manual, its pretty straightforward and no u dont need that stupid ignition lock tool thingy(although it will help)good luck

It appears easy until you try to remove the two rear bolts that are directly under the inner fairing piece.
I rounded one off...It's tight but this winter I have to tear everything apart and get the bolt out. Going to replace those two bolts with socket head bolts and washers so the head is above the clamp and easy to get to with a wrench....
