Question Ape Pullback????

So I'm thinking of going with a 12" Ape on my RG and wanted some opinion on pullback. There are some with a 12" or so pullback (Wild 1) and some with a 5" or so pullback (PYO). My first thought was that the more pullback would be more comfy but I wanted some opinions first.

This is how i look at it.The less pull back the more forward you can align the bars so you could stretch out more.I have L.A. Choppers 16's on my RKC.They have less pullback and are wider than the wild1 16's.This allows me to push the bars a little more forward stretching my arms more.I'm using the windshield right now so they are not where i really want them but i can still extend my arms. But they are as much forward as possible considering the shield. If i had say wild1's(which have more pullback)i couldnt put them as forward as much actually wouldnt be able to extend my arms as much.

I have 12" pull back and wish I had 5" pull back...nuff said? I'm thinking of getting Carlini Gangster bars when finances allow...

Just for comparison.

Wild1's #wo509-
rise 16
width-37
center width-10
pullback-12.5

L.A.Choppers(mine)
rise-16
width-40
center width-14
pullback-9

This is great info, thanks guys. It sounds like I will want less pullback, I just don't want to be completely streched forward to reach the bars. I think I may be going with either a 12" or 14" option. I want more style than the Wild 1's so I'm looking at Carlini or maybe PYO.

You dont have to be completely stretched forward, just align the bars where you want them. Some set them inline with the forks others straight up etc.

Thats what I figured. I was just out sitting on the bike with a tape measure seeing what height would work. At 14" my arms are about straight with my shoulders but I'm not sure I want them that high?? What a decision.
