Buffering
Anyone try these yet. May be what the doctor ordered. I know I can feel the air specifically from this area and this may be a nice fix to the many problems we have.. Wonder what the install is like....

I had then on my 06 FLHT.
With the stock 12" shield , they reduce the turbulent air near your lap, stomach, and lower chest.
I don't know how they would work with a different windshield height , but that's what they did for me.
Very early and very late in the riding season , I felt slightly warmer while riding with them.
They do what they're suppose to do pretty well.

I have very little buffeting with an 8" windshield, the fork wind deflectors and the fork air baffle/deflector that bolts to the bottom of the triple tree on my glide. The fork air baffle takes a lot of the air coming over the tank away and helps a lot with cold weather riding. Not sure what impact it'll have on the engine when it gets hot outside but will find out.
Your mileage may vary based on your height, how far you sit back from the shield, etc. but you probably already know that.

For what its worth I replaced my Freedom Wings wind deflectors with the Kuryakyn Dragon Wings. There is a slight improvement with the buffeting you are mentioning. Other than that the right windshield and the between the fork wind deflector is going to be your best improvements.
i have the side deflectors on the batwing fairing, although had to use a 10-24 tap to clear the holes in the brass bushings that the screws are supposed to screw into, and the fork air baffle between the fork tubes attatched to the lower triple tree, both the side wings and the baffle help a lot, along with the right height windshield. i'm using the one next shorter than the ultra classic uses stock on my 08 sg, and it's a great combo for my 6'4" height.
I bought the adjustables (58156-08). They help reduce some buffeting. The real benefit is being able to flip them around when it's hot!
