I just got my 6" Flat Top Black Gloss Windshield today, put it on and went for a ride. My old shield was an 8" Harley one and handled the wind well, but it was too tall for my taste. Before that I had a 6" Harley shield, and the buffeting was so bad my glasses literally would shake off.
The good news is that this Clark Windshield at 6" gives me no buffeting at all. It works just as well as my 8".
Also, when I read people on hear saying how much better their stereo sounded with this shield I thought they were exaggerating. It's certainly not as good as an aftermarket setup, but it is much clearer than before.
I have the half moon of theirs. I wish they had come out with the flat top earlier, as I would have gotten one of those. Of course, I'll probably order one soon, as I really do like the looks.
How tall are you? I've got the 8" half moon, and wondered if I the shield being flatter across the top, would allow me to drop down to the six without getting hit square in the face by the air riding up over it.
I also have two, the 10" dark flat top and the 8" dark flat top. I got the 10" first and found it to be too tall for going over hills at night. I use my shield correctly, never looking thru it, always over. Very good shields for sure and excellent people to buy from.
Ive tried the lite-smoked HD 9.5"....a lite-smoked 8" recurve from Clearview. The 9.5" was like a 'bifocal' line in my direct line of sight. I loved being able to see OVER the 8" Clearview....but the GF was getting beat to heck....so I kept going back to the original 12". Tuesday morning, I installed the 12" flat top with 'bronze' tint from Clark's...and with only short trips back n forth to work....I think the overall buffeting is less. GFs biggest complaint was the 'slap-around' wind from the sides. I can hold my hand higher above my helmet before I feel the turbulance....not to mention further to the sides before I feel it. I do feel a little more coming up from beneath. Thinking of re-installing my chrome fork air deflectors.
The 'bronze' tint is nice....a little deeper (more color) tint than the smoke. It looks good on the red, and the approaching headlights dont seem as bright. I was able to turn the stereo volume down.
GF & I are making a run this evening.....that'll be the 'true' test. Will comment more then.

I have one of their shields as well. I had them cut me a 7 1/2", and it works great! They didn't even charge me extra for the special cut. GREAT folks!
