I need some help, I picked up my new Ultra and it has security. I have both key fobs and I have set the PIN according to the users manual. BUT, if I leave the fobs in the house and walk down to the back garage (50 feet away) the bike starts right up. Also if I have the FOB and walk away, the manual says the system should arm in 5 seconds (blinkers flash and the red key by the odometer should flash every 3 seconds) neither of these things happen.

So , what am I missing? It must not be enabled some how.

 

My 07 did the same thing. The dealer did not prep the bike correctly. Took it in "with both fobs" and they fixed it right up 15 min

 

I agree sounds like it wasn't programmed right at the dealer. I had one installed yesterday at my 1k service. Works as advertized.

 

Thanks guys, that's exactly what happened, they forgot to program the FOB's. I talked to the dealer today and when they program the FOBs they also put in a default PIN of 12345 and my bike hadn't had a PIN set yet.

They will program them at the 1K service
