Default Home mixed bug juice

I drive a truck for a living and bugs tend to be a problem on the road. I put straight water in the washer tank with a few drops of dawn dish soap. It works pretty good at removing bugs from the windshield.

I just filled a spray bottle with water and added a few drops of dish soap and did the front of my scoot and it worked pretty good. There is just enough soap to do the trick yet not too much were it might leave a film.

I also carry a jug of Wizards mist and shine and a few microfiber towls for touch up on the road.

Oh and Rain X works great on the windshields. I have down my brothers two bikes and a few others for freinds along with mine. What bugs that do stick are easily cleaned off. If you have an aftermarket tinted shield then make sure you test a small spot before applying rain x to it. I now the factory clear shields seem to take rain X just fine with out any cloudyness etc.

a 50 / 50 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water does wonders on
bugs and their crusty remains......spray it on and open a cold beer,
once the beer is half gone the crusty critters will be mostly sliding
off your windshield.....wipe down then enjoy more beer.
That's what I do anyways, and seems to do the job just fine.....

How does that mixture work with waxed surfaces? Just wondering because I may give it a shot with my next mixture of bug removal juice.

+1 on the 50-50 Hydrogen peroxide and water. I've been using over a year and it works wonders. Don't let it sit around too long as the peroxide will deteriorate. I mix a small amount about once per week. I also bought a rather expensive spray bottle (From the Container Store) as it sprays a vey fine mist and doesn't run off the waxed surfaces. It has no effect on the paint, chrome or wax.

3 buckets of soapy water and 3 buckets of clear water alternating the rag through each one and changing water frequently. Anything else will be sand paper on my black bike.
