Default Rain X ?

Does anyone use Rain X on their windshield? Rode in the rain last night, couldn't see a thing. Can you use Rain X on a plastic shield? Does it work well enough?

I clean my windshield with a damp microfiber towel.
When nice and clean, I use a spray detail wax inside and out.
Water beads up and runs off and the shield doesn't fog up.

Don't use "Rain-X" on your HD shield, it eats away at the hard coating and will ruin it. Please do not ask how I know.

I use lemon pledge. Water rolls off, bugs come off easily.

Rain-X and plastic's dont get along. It has solvents in it and is for glass only.
I picked up a bottle of Raincoat and it works good. Put it on my shield and the FF visor.
