Default Air pump storage?

I just bought a suspension air pump and want to store it on the bike. For now I cut the box it came in in half, put a wrap of black duct tape around it and put the pump and its packing foam back in the cut box. It isn't pretty but for now it protects the pump. Anyone got a better idea?

I used to put the pump in a tube sock to protect it and keep it from rattling around in my saddlebag. Now it goes in the tourpack lid organizer.

I just wrapped it with a microfibre cloth and put it in the bag.

I leave mine in the tool box in the garage. The pressure should stay the same unless you have a leak.

I had a plastic tool case from Sears (Craftsman) that was the same size of the original box. I put the foam and the pump in this box.

I bought an electrician's cloth tool bag from Harbor Freight for 4.00. Keep gloves, bandana, extra glasses and pump in there. Still has plenty of space left so that I can throw some more in and not have it floating all over the saddlebag.

Of course it has gone up in price since I bought mine...go figure.
