I've heard about that. I did the "tape a 1/4" nut to the wheel then spin it" and it made it through. It's close but it seems okay. The tech was suppose to drill out the rear hole with a 3/8" bit in the fender then tilt it, but he didn't. So far about 300 miles and all is fine.
I may do that anyway for peace of mind.............a 5/16" nut rubbed. So it is pretty close.
