I'd really like to replace the air shocks on my "09 Street Glide to a better performing shock. My riding style is strickly Sport Touring. I seldom ride two-up let alone pack it up other then for a occasional over nighter...
I've alway's went with Work's Performance shocks in the past but due to recent financial situations I can't afford 600 dollar shocks right now.
Has anyone changed out their shocks on a '09 Touring bike and if so, can you share some feedback......Thank's in advance..........Rich
Tom from http://harleygoodies.com/ here. Contact Fast Harley here on the forum. He sells all kinds of shocks and can provide quality advice and service to you. I think he sells some Arnott ones that a bit less than works, although I ahve used work in several sport bikes I had and they were great shocks.
PuttNutt,
Keep an eye on Ebay. Works Performance always has listings on there for overstock or unclaimed custom orders. They generally price the shocks around $340/pair.
I installed 13.3 inch Ohlins on my SG. Got them with a forum discount from Motorcyclemetal.com. Ask Howard . These shocks rock. I can't grind hard parts in a tun even when I try. The bike handles and rides superb. It is taller now, but I like to ride, not stand still. Higher price than what you may be looking for. Way cheaper than I expected. Check it out and good luck!
