thanks for the input everyone. I see that one person said that the new ones they are making in 09 dont push you foward and allow you to lean back a little. Thats what I intend to find. Anybody know where to look or how to find that "NEW" one.

I had a corbin solo and passenger pad along with the rider backrest for long trips and believe me, when it got to be an over 2 hour trip, it was well worth putting your back on it. Takes a lot of the stress off of it. We all tend to drive slouched a bit so this helps keep your back a little straighter.

I have the stock '02 Ultra with the back rest and love it. The only time I don't use it is when i use my T-Bag back seat bag which serves the same purpose. It also keeps the weight a little lower than a bag on top of the tour pac.

ordered my non adjustable back rest for my ultra from zanottis. about 189 (seat and bracket)shipped. will put it on in a few weeks and test it out on my Jax FL to Sturgis trip. should make the trip all the better.

What they said!

It makes the ride more relaxing, easier to push the bike backwards, eliminates back pain from slouching, holds you forward when accelerating hard and my wife says she likes the feel of it between her legs (did I just say that?)

I have the adjustable and it's great. You can adjust it as you ride for max comfort.

i'm considering one for my streetglide. i put a roadglide seat on it and it improved the comfort a lot, now a backrest may also help.
