Like many I wanted to mount my Garage Door Opener so that I could actuate it easily while approaching the garage, but didnt want to drill into my inner fairing.
Since I do have a windshield bag I decided to use the Speedo Reset Switch idea but mounted it on the right side of my windshield bag with the rubber boot. It isnt completely water proof so I put the GDO into a small ZipLock bag in the windshield bag.
While I was at it I took a little cardboard and some foam and made an organizer for my windshield pouch so that my sunglasses wouldnt bounce around on the lenses and get scratched. I always have 2 pair of goggles with me for riding one clear and one tinted, when I stop I put the regular sunglasses on.
I keep my GDO in my right front breast pocket with the button side out. I can easily trigger it with my gloved hand through the leather. But I like your setup too.
