I am going to buy a 6 speaker set up and was wondering where most of you buy from, I noticed the hog tune site prices are higher than some distributors. Thanks Al
Nothing against Hog Tunes but there are better options for the price. Do some searching on here, get a amp, 6.5" speaker rings and some quality JM, Boston Acoustic, Focal Speaker,,,,, Buy from one of the online discounters or even try your local car audio store, mine matches online prices for me and gives me hands on service.
If you buy directly from Hog Tunes you get Pez's awesome customer service. If you buy from a distributor and have an issue, the distributor may not be of any help.
I'm looking at the 902.2 Front Speaker and Amp kit and trying to be logical about this. On the Hogtunes site it's $365 delivered. On the Eastern Performance site it's $260 delivered. I don't ever mind paying something extra for customer service but $105 is a big difference. Plus I've had good experience dealing with EP on other purchases. Hogtunes must have sold these to EP for a reason. I don't think EP stole them off a train.
So I guess I have two questions.
1) Is the product so crappy that it commonly fails?
2) Is it rocket science to install?
Unless the answer is yes to either of those questions, I'm having a tough time figuring out why I should pay the extra $105.
