will other year mufflers fit 09 ultra's.......bill

I don't think so because of the frame redesign in 09. The 09 V&H Ovals have a bigger notch than the ones on my 05. Not sure about other manufactures products.

There is a larger area that is formed around the axil nuts. Other years would rub there. Need some mufflers PM me. I have 2 sets 06 and 09 for Ultras. Almost new and no marks. Both taken off after the 1,000 mile mark on my bikes.

some have gotten away with enlarging the dent on older style mufflers to clear the axle nut. have hammer will travel!

I went through this when I was trying to find V/H pipes to fit my bike. I called V/H and they said other year pipes would fit, but the rear axle nut would hit the pipe if you have a passenger and happen to "bottom out". So do not get pipes off any other year bike. Do not believe what the seller says. Like I said, I spoke with the rep rom V/H, not some Tom Dick or Harry
