1. EFI would have fixed this, make sure with a carb model your bike is warmed up before taking off. Its simple..... its a carb. Needs to be adjusted

2. My SG i can see everything behind me with no problems, tilt them up.... they move

3. in a constant mesh tranny your going to have gear whine. Why 4th? Who knows... its fine...

4. My shortest ride has been 60 miles, over 1900 miles in two weeks, never a problem

5. maybe a bad sensor mine plays fine

6. my 80k H2 squeals too, geez. It happens. In fact our Lexus does too. Brakes/dust... squeeling.
I htink the SG has something else wierd, maybe a little misalignment on the rotors. Shims fix this. Every HIPO bike shims the rotors so they dont drag

Go ride and enjoy, seems everything is fixable.

I have a 20K dollar ford that doesn't have brake squeal, and have owned many bikes without it. It is wrong and HD should fix it. I have had the same problem.

Their are 5k cars that dont get brake squeal. Their are also some that do.

Depends on what the fix is. If you pull your lever in an 1/8" it stops. It would tell me that the alignment may not be perfect between rotor and caliper, but very well could be within specs....

I must've gotten a freak from the factory. Mine was built 9/9/05 and I've had ZERO issues with my 'Glide. It never sputtered, spit, squeeled, had visibility isues nor has my CD skipped.

When I plunked down the cashola for my SG I knew I was buying a Harley Davidson motorcycle and as long as there weren't any safety issues with it that could jeoperdize my life or anyone riding with me I am a happy camper.

We bought Harleys fellas not a Maybach! If you are looking for perfection click here

There are fixes for everything you have mentioned. Hang in there. I had my inner fairing replaced. Mirror problem fixed. I had my rotors swapped. No more squeal. I downloaded the latest update for the CD player. No more skipping. I have EFI so I can't help you with that. Oh, and just get a new seat if you don't like the stocker. I'm Ok with mine. Get it fixed and ride.

My RK is carbed. I have NO issues like you describe. The carbs have been around forever and they are very reliable. All you need is to have the dealer adjust it for you. There is also the possibility that something is in your fuel line/filter/carb inlet but it can be fixed. You have one of the best bikes out there. Hang on, get it tweaked, make the dealer get it right and enjoy. Welcome to the Forum.
