Default Polished wheels/stock rotors?

Ok.

I am looking at a set of PM polished wheels ($1600). The matching rotors are near $600. The sales guy suggested just taking my stock rotors to get polished.

Should I just get polished rotors from HD or other HD rotors (run about $250).

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Tom from http://harleygoodies.com/ here. I would suggest checking out HogPro as they are a very reputable shop on the forums. I am quite certain they carry PM wheels adn can set you up with everything you need. You could put stock rotors on with new wheels, but you might as well throw some new matching rotors on there for the bling factor as long as you are changing wheels. Maybe a matching pulley too. Call up Phil at Hogpro. I do not work for and never will, but do a search and read some reviews.

Regards,
Tom

if you are on budget, just polish them yourself.

your stockers are stainless. which means they will polish out. got a drill press and an edge buffing pad and some welders gloves? i love happich semichrome. or a bench grinder with a buffer pad. you can do it. and if your stockers will bolt on, you got time to use them till you save up for the mega buck pm ones.

What size front wheel are you putting on? With a 21" you see wheel and not just rotor. 18" wheel you see a lot of rotor. By the time you get down to a 16" wheel you might as well put the after market rotors on and keep the stock wheel.
