Rather than asking where the engine comes up on the cam or at what rpm range a particular cam begins working. Let me ask it this way instead. What, if any cam, will perform as good as the stock cam, in relation to economy and down low power, yet actually pull once you are in 5th or 6th gear and past 70 mph. In other words I like the stock cam but would like to pass big trucks quickly rather than take what seems like forever. Opinions? This would be on my 08 SG which I am going to do the Stage 2 shortly. That might make this question irrelevant but I'd like to know anyway.

Look in the catalog and buy the SE stage 2 kit. Sells for 900.00. You will need a sert, a mechanic and a really goog dyno man
My current combo on the 08 is Stage1 with Bub's7 true duals. Sert tuned by a great tuner who has been in buisness for 20+ years and has done two other bikes for me. I like him because he tunes for economy as well as power. I average around 45 MPG. This is important to me even with a 6 gallon tank. 81HP and 96TQ.
I still need a cam that pulls a little bit, not a lot after 70MPH.
I have tried the 54 & 26 andrews cams,I now have the SE255,this works the best for me,it pulls right now to 5000 plus,I'm usually in the 2-3,000 range and could care less about 5,000 and on up.
