I just did my rear tire this weekend and put matching Scribed marks on the cam and on the swingarm. When I put mine back together and tightend and torqued it, the left side line matched dead on and the right side cam washer was 1/16" off. I don't think the cam washer on the right side is an exact fitting piece onto the axle. The cam system does line up the axle but mostly tightens the belt tension. I worried more about setting the belt tension in relation to the left side cam mark and let the right side line up where it wanted to. It's not an exact science on this cam system. If it was super critical they would have had individual adjustments on each side. As someone else said just make sure your RS cam washer is on correctly and is contacting(pushing) against the stop block on the swingarm.

Yes, you NEED to hold the left side welded nut and torque the right side. Match your marks on the left side.

Perfectly stated Bikerdad!
By the way LUBA, how does the 160 fit and look? I've read it's narrower then the MU90?
I'm leaning towards the 160 if it's bigger!

I would also like to know how that 160 fits and looks. 07 rims are 3 inch, isn't that E3 a 3 1/2 wide tire?

The 160 E3 looks awesome! I was a little worried about it rubbing, but it does fit fine and I am glad I bought it. The only place it is close is the lower belt guard, but it clears fine. I am going to take it for a test run as soon as I throw the mufflers back on and quit over- thinking this alignment deal. I also threw on a set of Z+ pads on the rear and will try them out too.

The 160 fits fine on the stock 3" rim. I mounted it myself and added dyna beads to balance it. Way easy. I will be running the 160 from now on! It is bigger but fits fine.

Good idea on the Z+ pads, I'm going to do mine this winter when I go to Chrome 9-spoke and Wide Whites.

If the wheel is aligned and tracks straight, you may be worrying about it unnecessarily.

When I change mine on the '08 I don't mark anything, I just put it all back together and adjust the belt tension.

i was about to get the 160 e3, then went for the mu 90-16 e3 instead and glad i did. while the right side saddlebag is off, i felt the fat part of the tire and where it gets close to the fender right behind the fender strut. 1/8" clearance. with the 160 being about a half inch wider, i don't know how guys are getting the 160 to fit without rubbing.
