RK Hard Bag lid problems
I am having a real problem with keeping my right saddlebag lid latched on my '03 RK. It keeps wanting to pop open and doesn't really want to latch. Is there an adjustment for this somehow? It is driving me nuts. The original latches have been replaced with the polished billet ones if that has anything to do with the problem.

I was having the same problem with mine. It turned out to be the piece of fabric that stretches across the lid. It was getting pinched in between the lid and the bag and then it wouldn't latch properly. I still have to sweep my hand inside to clear it when I close it or it will pop open.

I don't know of an adjustment on the latch. Check the strap between the side of the bag and the lid. Look for a crease or something that would indicate that the strap is folding into the hinge. If it is the latch can't close properly. Besides that, I don't know.[&:]

I find that mine will pop open if I have overstuffed the bags. I can usually tell because the latch doesn't feel like it has "clicked" shut. When that happens I lock the bag to keep the lid from popping open while I'm going down the road.
