I had a PCIII on my bike. It was one of those "good enough to get the job done" products. I didn't realize how much I was sacrificing with the Power Commander until I had some motor work done and switched to a TTS MasterTune.
PCIII from Fuel Moto
Best gas mileage - 45 mpg on interstate right after installing
Average gas mileage on interstate - 40-43 mpg
Average gas mileage in city - 35-38
TTS Mastertune & tuned by Skips Speed and Custom Cycles
Best gas mileage - 49.8 mpg on interstate
Average gas mileage on interstate - 45-49
Average gas mileage in city - 43-45
And I can get about the same mileage in the mountains as I do on the interstate.
Mods done to bike:

Arlen Ness Big Sucker

i installed the pcv on my 08 sg, and am happy with it. you no longer have to wait for the electronics cycle through till the yellow circled light goes off on your dash, you just turn on the ignition and hit the starter. it does richen up your fuel mixture, or what is also known as the air to fuel ratio. it cools down the engine significantly, and there is more power/torque from idle all the way through the rev range. it's easy to install. the hardest thing is removing the battery from your bike. great instructions, and if you get it from fuelmoto, those guys are great to deal with. alternative mapping is available through fuelmoto should you decide to change anything like changing your motor to a 103 or any other changes. the map it will come with was designed for your combination, at fuelmoto they set it up for your exhaust, intake system, etc. it's cheapest at fuelmoto too. you can also put in two different maps, using a toggle switch to change maps. one more feature you may or may not want, is the auto tune module. where you replace the 02 sensors with the power commander ones, and then the pcv will tune as you ride. if you want that extra two ft lbs of torque or the last two or three horsepower, you can get it dyno tuned too. well, i've given you all the information i can, as that's all i know about it, other than i feel it's a great product. it doesn't require any cutting of a harley harness, it piggybacks onto your ecm, so it can be removed if you feel the need. a quality item for just under three hundred bux. hope this helped.
I chose the SERT and am more than pleased. A stage 1 download will work also. Runs about 150.00 and has no effect on warranty.
so, are you saying that if i've got a stage 1 download that a power commander won't add anything? i had the ecm reflash done when the exhaust and breather were installed.

man, it sucks being dumb
The SERT (Scremin Eagle Race Tuner) is HD's version of the PC tuner. Recommend getting one or the other.
