Got my Sirius Starmate 5 the other day, got the mounting kit today. Satellite radio unit mounted, H-K radio volume at 3 bars and the Satellite Radio is incredible!!!
Looking forward to road testing tomorrow afternoon!!! Too bad my MCC modified seat won't arrive until around 5pm. Guess I'll have to road-test that on Saturday (regardless of rain!)
No...I just 'got' my Satellite Radio. My initial subscription was for just 1 year. I am pretty certain that Satellite Radio isn't going anywhere...my last post was just stating that when it comes time for renewal, I'll do a "lifetime" rather than another "annual".

Buy a brand new radio when you do your lifetime, and sell your old one, get the newest one available, because you can only transfer the subscription 3 times (for $75 each time) I have a starmate that's screen malfunctioned from being exposed to the heat for too long, it still works, you just can't read the screen anymore. Been a Sirius customer for about 4 years now, i will never go back to regular radio, it's the best thing around!
BTW are there any Harley OEM stereo gurus on the board? i posted a question in the 'Other' tech forum about a problem i have with the AUX input not being enabled on the front of my '01 head unit... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/other...-new-post.html

Nice looking setup. Looks like you've got room for the GPS or cell phone as well. It is amazing how nice satellite radio is on a long trip. I've been using XM in my truck about 4 years but only added it to my bike this year when I got the Ultra. I can't imagine a long trip without it now.
