Default Looking for a IPhone cable

I am looking for a IPhone cable to plug into the bottom of the IPhone and than into the AUX jack. Right now I am using the ear phone jack which works OK, if I had the "other" cable I would be able to control the vol. by the hand control rather than the IPhone. I know there have been a few part numbers posted, but they didn't work on the IPhone, only the IPOD and Some ITouches.

Thanks in advance Be Safe JIM

If it's a 3G, a standard stereo mini-din (male to male) will work. I have one and it works fine.

If it's an original iPhone, you need an adapter to plug into the phone and then use the same cable as above. I had one of them too. Fry's, BestBuy, Apple Store all have what you need for either phone.

Huh? Cable from iPhone's ear phone jack to the radio aux input allows you to control volume from the hand control rather than the iPhone. Just double checked that on my bike. In fact, you can control volume from both. Just set the iPhone's volume to about 75% to minimize distortion, then use bike's volume control from then on. Works fine.

I think this is what you want, i have several. One in each vehicle and use it on my bike. Works for both ipod and iphone. Volume is consistent with CDs and radio.

That would be perfect if it would charge as well!

+1, my sentiments exactly. I know there are differences between the iphone and ipod pinouts on the bottom plug as I am experiencing similar probs with my iphone - damn rude of Apple really!!

3.5mm lead is all you need

Also, no chance of charging the iphone even if you do get the lead you are after
