My 09 Road King is awesome, love it.Only problem is I feel I'm reaching to far for the grips.Feels awkward compared to my 02 Electra Glide. Can they put in risers in the 09 Road King? And if the handlebars are tilted back, will that help? Thanks-Gary
I had the same problem. I put on a set of "tall boys" and had them pulled back. They are a couple of inches higher and a couple further back now. Just put on a solo with a backrest also. The combo of the 2 are perfect!!! I'm 6'2 and have a fairly long reach.
The wild1 chubby's wo508 & wo518 are both great. I have the 508's and love them and if you install a backrest you'll never get off. www.wild1inc.com I'm 6 feet tall
hey the heritage style bars are great. I am the same heigth and about 170#. I had the same problem and I tryed pulling the stock bars bac but did not help much. The heritage bars moved my hands up and towards me. I payed $75 for the bars through harley. I installed these myself. The only thing that is kind of a biatch is the headlight. you have to take the headlight out because of the little trim piece on the top of the light. There is a nut behind the light that you have to remove. It feels like you are tearing the bike all apart but is all goes back pretty easy. If you have any questions let me know I am glad to help you through it via phone.
I've got the 508's on my Road King, and I love em. Bite the bullet and change em early, along with the seat and you'll have thousands of miles of enjoyment.
