The wife and I are heading out for the Blue Ridge Parkway trip but we have to go through Chattanooga TN for family 1st and I was wondering if anyone can give me some infor on Biker friendly places to stay while we're there? Post what ya know guys and thanks.
If you can stand an hour-long commute, the Cherohala Motorcycle Resort over at Tellico Plains is a great place to overnight. From there, you can take the Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, and Foothills Parkway to the National Park, then through the Park to the BRP in Cherokee. That's a fairly lengthy half-day route, but some of the best riding on the east coast.
Cleveland is a good stop, 50-60 for a room, then you can start out with a full day.
I've stay there usually coming front the west and it's nice to start off in the AM

That looks like a nice place to stay. We are coming from TX but we have to stop in Hattiesburg MS for 3dys to visit with my step-daughter,so from there we are going to the BRP for the rest of the vacation. So we were looking for a place to stay where we could get to the BRP and it's surrounding areas to ride. Thanks for the info Pastor.
the Ocoee River is just SE of Cleveland and is a great ride to the Whitewater Center where the Olympic kayaking was held years ago. You can continue your journey from there without backtracking.
I think you'll really like it there at Cherohala Resort! In the town of Tellico Plains, there is a great little motorcycle shop and across the street a really nice coffee shop/deli. We always like to get a lunch "to go" from the coffee shop and stop on the Cherohala Skyway to eat - really a great day!
Tell the folks at the Resort that I said "hello" - I have been so busy that I haven't been up this year yet.
Get a map, go over the Cherohala Skyway, Go see Bald rock falls (a very slight detour while on the Skyway) Head over towards Cherokee or Maggie Valley to pick up the BRP
There are way too many great roads to ride in the area. You'll have a blast!
