That is what I'm hoping it needs. Oil pressure was at 43 psi, oil temp at 231 degrees. Was riding up a mountain at 67 mph and near the top she started loosing power. I went to downshift to 5th and it died. Looked down and saw oil and a hole in the pushrod tube. I'd be very happy is a pushrod and tube was all that it needed.

That's usually what happens. The noise makes it sound like the whole motor is coming apart and about to explode, but MOST of the ones I've seen require changing the pushrods/lifters and ride. Here's hoping!
If not, strike a match to it and run!
Go pick up some hookers and make the best of your trip!! J/K

Another GMR "super build" bites the dust! At least ya got 3K out of it.
skydoc, care to elaborate? I've heard only good things about GMR and was planning to upgrade...or are you just talking smack? JWTK Thanx in advance for the clarification///
I would be more concerned with the top end. Seizing a lifter will not push the push rod out with out the valve hitting the piston. I would look closely for a valve guide gaulded, or also a bent valve from the aftermath.
I'll be in Indiana tomorrow and will pull it apart. Wish I had more tools to tear into it. The hole in the tube is just above the lower portion where the pushrod adjustment nut is. It starting to look like the pushrod colapsed and caised the hole. I'll know more tomorrow.
As for the GMR comment. Steve had nothing to do with this happening. Another shop installed the cams and valvetrain. Sine I got 3k miles out of it, it looks more like a part failure to me. FWIW the pushrods were bought elsewhere.
