Had a 1985 superglide adjustable pushrod came loose started hammering real bad. shut it down right away no damage. sounds like lifter problem

I would sure like to know the make of the pushrods and whether any loctite was used on the pushrod locknuts. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that it is indeed just as simple a fix as you suspect. Good Luck.

Shop just called. Rocker looks good, test is good, a second pushrod was loose, doesn't look like locktite was used. They are going to finish getting it back together soon.

I'll look through my papers to find out what type of pushrods I had, can't remember at the moment.

I can get one but they found another loose so I had all of them replaced. This time with locktite. Bike runs great, all is good.

My nephew just joined the Army today so I get $2k for him signing up. I'll walk away with $1200 left so it works out. Thanks everyone.
