You know, i've been noticing the same thing with mine, and not only that, i keep putting gas in the tank but every 180 miles or so i have to stop and its all gone....i can't see any leaking, but its gotta be going somewhere!?!?!

The floor boards on my 01 Heritage still looked good when I traded it for my RK. There has to be an explanation why yours are falling apart.

The rubber shock absorbers are shot on my bike. Two years old 21k miles. I didn't think it was that big of a deal. It's the cost of playing.

Are you sure youre not wearing your golf shoes on your way to the country club??? Rubber degrades, I changed the ones on my 99 after about 7 years and what a friggen difference, the rubber gets hard and the new ones (with the chrome inserts) felt like a new pair of slippers.
