First thing I did after the initial shock of him hanging up on me was to call Harley Davidson customer service and file a dealer complaint.
They have on record the whole incident and that I did my own 5,000 service. I also explained to her that there was nothing in the owners manual stating Harley needed to perform the service.
I will definitely not be going back to have them do ANY service on my bike.
Funny thing is I posted an ad under Motorcycles in Craigs list late last night and I already have 3 guys respond saying they've had similar situations with these guys.
I've also considered the plywood billboard in the back of the truck. Still thinking about doing it.

Well good for you and tell the other guys to also call Harley and complain....Numbers dont lie...
Also, don't underestimate the power of the Better Business Bureau. They in fact might be able to act quicker than the MoCo will. Around here, they get enough complaints about a place, they start investigating and stuff gerts fixed. They don't screw around. At least that has been my experience here in Missouri. Tell everyone you talk to that has had a bad experience at that place to call the BBB also.

LOL Forgot to mention that I filed an online complaint last night with the Better Business Bureau. Also downloaded and filled out a complaint for for the NYS Attorney General which will be in the mail today.
If you guys have any other ideas please let me know as this just isn't right.
File a complaint with the MoCo and press hard. There is no warranty requirement that a dealer has to do the required maintenance. That shop owner has no leg to stand on.
That's right. Maybe the dealer needs to become familiar with Federal warranty Laws. Owners manual only recommends it be done by H-D dealer, not mandatory. As long as you have your receipts on the products you purchased to do your servicing you are covered.
