for those that did not know Heath Palmer is a sponsor on here and he sells all of his products at his cost which is great savings to us give him a try he is a good guy.

 

Am I missing something? If he's selling all his products at cost, he's not going to be in business very long.

Anyone can become a commerial user like I am and buy at a big savings over individual purchases. I don't know about 'Cost" but that some how doesn't sound right. Anyway there was a recent price increase so I can't tell you what the current prices are but before the increase I was buying the 25K stuff for a tad over $6 a quart. Probably $8 with the new increase. Question I guess is....How much is "cost" for 20/50 HD motorcycle oil? The 25K stuff, not the 5K mile stuff.

I was an Amsoil dealer for a while. I'm not anymore because dealer cost + shipping = same price or more than Mobil 1 at Wal-mart.

Amsoil is good. But not any better than Mobil 1

So I don't state anything agains amsoil policy in a public forum, I won't agree or deny any statement made above. If wondering if true,you can contact me by pm.
Reqarding the question of staying in business, it's possible. There is built in commission. They have a preferred customer program where any individual buys at same dealer prices. The dealer they sign with receives no profit, but the built in commisson. There are retail and commercial accounts(for businesses only) as mentioned above...again, same dealer prices.
Regarding being able to buy cheaper locally as opposed to having it shipped...that may be true in some cases. There are stores out there that are charging well over suggested retail because they may not have any competition. Sometimes people do get lucky and find a good price, but I'd say 80+% of the time, it's cheaper to have it shipped to you(if you're buying at cost).
Prices actually came down on April 1st, first time in company history.
I know many people see it on the shelf somewhere for 12-14/qt and immediately turn away. This is not even close for what you can potentially get if for.

Oh, and if you are within shouting distance of any of these warehouses, you can avoid shipping. I can let you know how.

I use Amsoil And I'm wondewring way I read riders change oil at 5K to 8K when I read that Amsoil 20W50 is good for 15K. Are others wasting their money , or is it good for 15K Miles?
