For the last week or so, I have noticed a new noise on my 08 EG. Think it is new, maybe I just noticed but it is bugging me.
When I slow down to walking speed and then let out the clutch I hear a rattle/clunk type sound. I can reproduce it if I sit still start rolling, pull in the clutch and release it again. From a stop, it doesn't really do it.
I was wondering if possibly it was from the IDS and has always been there but maybe I just noticed it. The bike has 4110 miles on it.
Not sure what your noise is but I too have a 08 EG and hear a noise only when my wife rides with me, it is a yak, yak, yak noise in my ear. Anyone know how I can get rid of it?

I took my 2008 EG in today for the same thing. They told me that this is something with the brakes - when you slow down it moves the caliper slightly and when you give it gas it moves it the other way (kind of like a clunk). I figured this is what it might have been because my old Ford truck did something very similar. They told me that there was nothing they could really do with it - just regular Harley noise.
