I had a bad sticking valve from the factory on my 05 road star and the seafoam in the fuel for the first few thousand miles would almost instantly stop the problem. I would also put it in the oil and ride hard for a couple of tanks of gas right before an oil change. Don't know if that's the best way to use it, but it seemed to help the engine run smoother and kept the carbon deposits away.
I used it in my 02 Roadstar, bike had sticky valves, and a crap carburetor.
Would fill the tank up,put in sea foam, run that tank of fuel and then
change the oil and filter. Never tried spraying directly into the carb.
That was a great bike, lifters collapsed and motor knocked from day one.
My first and last metric bike.
