Well, I'm getting ready to head out on vaca and my battery is 4 years old and has never been on a battery tender. I'm interested to know how long a battery has lasted on your scoot, and if I should buy a new one prior to going on my trip?
I wouldn't worry about it. Mine's 3 1/2 years old and still starts like the day I got it. If you want to make extra sure test it and see how much power it's still cranking out.
I replace my battery every 3 years...I'd rather spend the $100-120 when I have it rather than on vacation in the middle of nowhere...cheap peace of mind if you ask me...If you have to ask if you should replace it, just replace it
I just replaced mine, the date on the battery was 03/05 so I got 4 years and three months. Had it on a battery tender since 1/08. Hope this information helps.

I've changed bikes every 2 to 3 years, never got to an old battery.
Always used a battery tender when the bike sat more than 2 weeks, never had a problem.
Nice to know that your bike wil start when you want to take that Christmas ride.
