+1 there is nothing you can do to stop it and those pipes must be defective, bad prep or bad chromeing proccess, either way with a big company like that you should be able to get a new set at no cost, just write them a nice email telling them how much you love the company and how great they are and how you want some non-fualty **** and you shout be good
+2.... You have a one year warranty on those pipes. They may ask you to take a digital picture and e-mail it. Also, they can send you a new part of the exhaust and when you recieve it you then mail your part back. They will only charge you if they feel it is not their fault. Linnea is in charge of warranty, she sends out the company e-mail. I found a technical guy to be more helpful. Below is what they sent me.

We extend this warranty against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. To obtain warranty service, you must provide us, via e-mail or fax, a copy of your dated receipt as proof of the purchase. Make sure yourname, UPSshipping address and daytime phone number are included. We will also need to get from you a credit card number to insure that you will be returning the defective parts for assessment. You will not be billed unless we do not receive the defective parts back or if upon return the inspectors feel that the parts are not defective. To expedite your claim, please include a short note including bike make, model and year; exhaust type & part number (if available) and also the nature of the problem.

I take that back --- i called BUB again and spoke to a gentleman named Brad - he said my warranty was close enough and he would replace the bad pieces...... seems like a good place to do business with...
