Ok not really, just new to the touring forum. I just bought a 09 SG, traded in the Fatboy. I've got just over 2500 miles on the new bike. It’s spoiling me rotten.
I discovered / fixed the two major problems with the bike.
1. The seat was awful! On my first long trip, my butt hurt so bad I couldn't get off the bike! Replaced with a Sundowner.... much better!
2. The windshield is the perfect height to aim all bugs and road debris right at your forehead!!! And because of the height you couldn't hear the stereo at speeds above 35mph! But man it sure does look good!!! Replaced that worthless P.O.S.!!! Now I can hear my radio!
Other than that the bike is great, I've got a few vibration noises in the fairing / handlebar area that I need to work out. I also need to add a set of ISO Grips and rear floorboards for my wife.
I also have added a set of Python slip-on's, quick detach sissy bar & luggage rack, drivers backrest and a set of highway pegs.
Enjoying the ride quality of a bagger!
I'll get some pics up soon.
